My name is Lois May and I have been singing professionally throughout New Zealand since I was 16. 

During those early years I mainly performed in clubs, telethons, restaurants, cabarets & weddings.

I took time out to have a family and we shifted around to different locations in New Zealand with my husband's work so it was difficult to establish myself in any one area.  I taught piano & singing in some of these locations but now prefer to concentrate on my own singing and writing.

In Christchurch I was involved in many different musical groups and choirs and performed at several different Retirement Homes and Villages using backing tracks - many of which I have produced myself. .

In 2016 I graduated from Jazz School in Christchurch with a Diploma of Musical Arts. While there I set up an all girl jazz band called The Generation Jazz trio which included piano, bass & vocal.

My genre has since evolved into an Easy Listening Crooner Jazz style although I'm also doing a bit of funky/pop style jazz.

 I moved to Geraldine, New Zealand in 2023 and am now involved in performing at the local market and village green as well as other musical settings.
